Abstract：College culture is an important part of university culture, the soul and drive of its development. Culture construction of a college, with its particular characteristics, has a significant effect on the process, direction, vigor and result of a universitys culture construction. Strengthening the culture construction of a college is conducive to implementing the strategy of development relying on culture, enhancing a university's soft power, improving the level of talent cultivation and management, and promoting the college's development. Taking School of Materials Science and Engineering of Henan Polytechnic University as an example, this paper explores the connotation and means of colleges' culture construction from the perspectives of spiritual culture, institutional culture, environmental culture and behavior culture.
