Zhang Boju and Cao Xueqin, Redology research

Abstract：Zhang Boju has collected many relics related to Cao Xueqin and A Dream of Red Mansions, such as Painting of Lianting Pavilion, Painting of Night Talk in Lianting Pavilion and Zhiyan inkstones.He also had contacts with many Redologists, including Wu Enyu and Zhou Ruchang. His records, comments and poems about the related relics, scholars and works are important documents in the history of relics and culture, especially the history of Redology, providing essential prerequisite for the study of relevant issues. Research on these documents is of great significance to the understanding of the history of Redology, and the use and discrimination of the documents in Redology. Therefore, the study on Zhang Boju should be given due attention and systematic review, making it the prerequisite and basis for the new academic research.
