Abstract：The history and culture of Shantao’s native place: Xixiaohong Village in Wuzhi county are studied by means of fieldwork investigation. From these materials, the author analyzed the inscription data of Shantao’s tomb and memorial temple, visited the inheritors of the oral literature and collected a lot of folk stories and folk legends so as to clarify a number of historical facts, which provide the first-hand information for the further academic study of the travel activities of Seven Celebrities of Bamboo Grove.
