Abstract：Xun Zi, a great thinker who synthesized the thoughts of various schools during Pre-Qin period, has inherited the basic concept of honor and disgrace from Confucian and Mencius. Aiming at the society situation then, he thoroughly understood the society orders, the popular sentiment and the public morals; carefully studied the relation of Haven and human and the idea of Haven-and-Man separation. By expounding the deficiency of the human nature and analyzing the doctrine in the fundamental essence of the morals of kings’teachers, Xun Zi has established his concept of honor and disgrace.
