Abstract：The construction of the railway is a major event in modern Chinese society, which has not only raised great impact on the social economy structure of modern China, but also on the changes of modern Chinese social life. The Dao-qing railway, a case as a preliminary study on the influence and the role of promoting modern Jiaozuo regional economy, population structure and the changes in social life are dis-cussed. The author considers that the construction and the operation of the Dao-qing railway is one of the main causes speding up the changes of Jiaozuo social economy.
